The street trees has an important role in maintaining air quality from vehicle pollution. In addition, the street trees is one alternative in improving the work of green space in the city of Bekasi when the land supply is reduced. The development of street trees through a green infrastructure approach can benefit nature conservation, conserve ecosystems, and provide convenience for road users. However, the condition of the green road path in Bekasi City still has problems such as the absence of street trees, arrangement of plant layout in the street trees, and procurement of street trees that have not met the standard. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This study aims to identify the characteristics of the street trees that is appropriate in terms of ecological, technical, aesthetic in fulfilling the function of Green Open Space in Bekasi City. The scope of this study is divided into two namely the scope of the material and the scope of the region. The key points the applicable standards, the criteria of the street trees according to the literature, the discussion of the suitability of the street trees, and the discussionof the potential of the street trees. The scope of the area of this study is Bekasi City. The object of this research is arterial road and collector road in Bekasi City.In this research will be done content analysis, descriptive analysis, and comparative analysis. Content analysis is done through literature review and legislation regarding the procurement of street trees. Content analysis is used to develop criteria, indicators and benchmarks for the street trees compliance. Comparative analysis is used to identify the suitability of street trees in Bekasi City from technical, ecological, and aesthetic point of view. Then a quantitative descriptive analysis was conducted to find out the potential of street treessupply in Bekasi City. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The results of this study are the criteria, indicators, ideal benchmarks for the street trees of the technical, ecological, aesthetic pathway, the suitability of the street trees, and the potential of steet trees supply in Bekasi City. There are three criteria of suitability of street trees, technical criteria, ecological criterion, and aesthetic criteria. The condition of the street trees in Bekasi City still partially meets the criteria of conformity, so there are still some indicators that have not been met. The procurement and development of street trees in accordance with the criteria of conformity can make the street trees as part of green infrastructure and increase the area of green open space in Bekasi City. The potential for the development of street trees can add a path of street trees around 7%. To maximize the potential for the development of a street trees, it certainly requires adequate funding allocation and good planning. <br /> text |
