STUDY of REVIEW EFFECT INFRASTRUCTURE CILIWUNG RIVER ARRANGEMENT with SOCIAL SPACE PRODUCTION in KAMPUNG PULO COMMUNITY

Flood is one of the thorny problems faced by the Daerah Khusus Ibukota (DKI) Jakarta in recent decades. Flooding that occurs often due to the overflow of river water which is then flooded residential areas, especially people who are around watersheds. As a step to tackling the problem of flooding and maintain the viability of the community, the Government carry out the construction and arrangement of infrastructure of the basin as the mandate of the Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN) tahun 2015-2019. Structuring infrastructure that has been done is in the form of a function returns a stream and settlements around the riverbanks that would provide both physical impact through changes in the environment and spatial and socially of life of people living in flood plains along the production activities and behaviors that go with it. One area that has been reorganized is Kampung Pulo river infrastructure. <br /> <br /> The purpose of this study was to examine how the arrangement of the river infrastructure affects the production of social space in the community of Kampung Pulo by examining the actual conditions in the form of spatial practices, representations of space and representational space and the third space is experienced by the people of Kampung Pulo. The method used in this research is qualitative method through the processing of source data obtained from literature review, field observation, and interviews related to the informant then analyzed based on the theory of social space. <br /> <br /> The results show that the arrangement of the infrastructure provides a new space experience felt by the people in Kampung Pulo, social spaces that present production is growing social and economic opportunities amid the new environment. Although the physical arrangement of the infrastructure of the dangers of Kampung Pulo prevent major flooding, but socially that the arrangement is not fully address the needs and aspirations of local communities. <br /> <br /> Keywords: flood control, river infrastructure arrangement, social space, the community of Kampung Pulo. <br /> <br /> . <br />
