Description
Summary:Solid waste is one of the major problems in Indonesia and majority of solid waste is directly dumped into the landfill without any treatments. The composition of solid waste in Indonesia is dominated by organic waste. The waste degradation process itself can form leachate, gas, or remain in its own waste. Degradation of waste will change the density of waste in the generation, thus affecting the safety factor of the generation. The degradation of the waste for 60 days reaches the stage of asedogenesis with a pH range of 2-4. The carbon distribution of the anaerobic degradation process for forty days tends to be in the form of gas, whereas only a small percentage of carbon concentrations are in leachate and solid. Low carbon concentrations in solid waste will further enlarge the safety factor of the waste cell. The safety factor of organic waste is compacted more influenced by the water content that is in the water. Organic waste is included in the safe category until it reaches a height of 30 m.capacity. In addition, the basic soil conditions of cells also greatly affect the stability of the cell.
