<br />
<br />
independent because it is located on the same area as PT Djarum's office. The existing badminton hall <br />
<br />
<br />
only has 3 badminton courts that integrated with dormitories in a single building. The number of <br />
<br />
<br />
athletes has now reached around 96 athletes in which the athlete has exceeded the capacity of existing <br />
<br />
<br />
facilities standards. Given that badminton is a popular sport among the people of Indonesia, the <br />
<br />
<br />
initiator wishes to establish an independent badminton training center in Jakarta and capable to <br />
<br />
<br />
present the image of PB Djarum. Another problem is that the site is in the economic area with a dense <br />
<br />
<br />
residential level. In addition, the site is also located in the middle of Jakarta as one of the hot and <br />
<br />
<br />
polluting city. <br />

Based on this, the concept that will be applied is a high permormance badminton training point. <br />
<br />
<br />
The concept is accordance with the image that the initiator wants to show and is accordance with the <br />
<br />
<br />
modern side of the building. Beside that, the building will also be designed to responses the tropical <br />
<br />
<br />
climate in Indonesia. The project site is in a zone with 50% KDB, 2 KLB and the height of the resistant <br />
<br />
<br />
building is 4 floors. The design process includes site analysis, user and activity analysis. <br />
<br />
<br />
The scope of design includes site planning and building. This training center will accommodate <br />
<br />
<br />
various functions, including the function of training, dormitory, management, support facilities, and <br />
<br />
<br />
utilities. Mass of the building consists of two main masses that are connected with space to form the <br />
<br />
<br />
unity of buildings, the main mass are the hall of badminton and the masses of dormitory and facilities. <br />
<br />
<br />
The building consists of coaches and athletes dormitories with a capacity of 96 athletes. The circulation <br />
<br />
<br />
is designed as simple as possible to facilitate the activity of athletes. In the building provided plenty of <br />
<br />
<br />
room for socializing among fellow athletes in order to increase interaction and reduce pressure on <br />
<br />
<br />
athletes. Construction of the badminton hall will use wide-span construction of wood laminates that <br />
<br />
<br />
are energy efficient. The facade of the building considers the sun's orientation and the tropical climate <br />
<br />
<br />
that is identical with rain, so using a sloping roof. <br />
<br />
<br />
