Description
Summary:Indonesia is a country which lies between two continents. This condition emerges volcanic mountain range caused by intercontinental collision. These volcanic tops potentially contain geothermal system. Futher research concerning this vulcano is not done yet. Thus, there is a need to know the existence of culcano system, like reservoir and upflow current in order to create underground image. This image will then be used to develop geothermal renewable resource system. One method conducted to estimate the existence of vulcano system is magnetotelluric method from geophysics survey. Magnetotelluric is a method which uses electromagnetic waves to map underground structure based on resistivity distribution. In this final project, distribution value of 2D resistivity from Mt. Tangkuban Perahu will be analysed, whereas the first thing that’s should be done is creating 1D invers of measured point, to gain quasi-resistivity in each layer. The inverse data then applied to support 2D interpretation of Mt. Tangkuban Perahu.
