In Indonesia, one of benefit of geothermal energy from economy aspect is that this kind of energy is generated locally thus reducing the country’s dependency for importing energy, which will be means to reduce trade deficit. Reducing trade deficit will increase people prosperity. Meanwhile in Indonesia, geothermal energy is yet to be optimized to its potential, eventhough the resources in Indonesia is relatively abundant. The challenges that have to be faced are regulation and social stability, which is an influencing factor to the possible investor’s interest who may want to invest at the geothermal field development. Investment in energy sector, as we know, is massive investment with high risk, thus financial calculation in geothermal project should be judged thoroughly. This study is done to assist decision making especially in financial aspect in geothermal field development including assessment of sustainability aspect, accessibility, geothermal field enthalpy, and evaluation of scenarios. To help to make financial calculation easier, this study built economic software that completed with understandable input by whom who works in geothermal sector. Flexibility in development scenarios adopted in this software thus makes spreading scenarios to many phase to be possible. This software will automatically calculates number of wells needed either development wells (production and injection) or make-up wells, feasibility indicator (IRR, NPV, PBP), interest and debt calculation, cash flow, and drilling schedule. In this study, sensitivity study of some geothermal field development scenarios is also done. text
