As one of the biggest Cities in Indonesia, Medan needs some public facilities to serve its people. One of the most important is health facilities. To fulfill those needs, it is necessary to build a hospital especially Mother and child hospital. The design of the hospital must be earthquake-resistance structure. <br /> <br /> In this final project will be built the north building of mother and child hospital. The building consist of 4 story with 1 story basement underground. The total high of the building is 21,3 meters. The building design is Special Moment Frame (SMF) which site has a medium soil condition and high seismic acceleration. The building is an important building with category of risk IV and has a Seismic Design Category D (SDC D). <br /> <br /> Structural modeling using ETABS 2015 software The check of the earthquake design criteria has to be done before designing the structural element. The parameter in concern are check of maximum drift, P-Delta effect, vertical and horizontal irregularities. The building has no vertical irregularities but has horizontal irregularities in the form of irregular inner angle and torque. Column reinforcement design using PCACOL software and slab reinforcement design using SAFE software. All of the structural check and design refers to National Standart (SNI).
