CONSTRUCTION METHOD PLANNING OF STRUCTURAL WORKS OF CENTER FOR INFRASTRUCTURE AND BUILT ENVIRONMENT ITB BUILDING WITH MODIFICATION ON THE SLAB

The construction of the Center for Infrastructure and Built Environment (CIBE) ITB building is one of the infrastructure development program conducted by the Bandung Institute of Technology in order to realize the vision of becoming a world class university. This building would need a good system of construction management. One important aspect of the construction management is construction planning for the structural works. <br /> <br /> <br /> In the construction project of CIBE ITB building, the structural works is divided into two main works, concrete work and steel work. Concrete work consist of plates works, columns, retaining wall, lift wall, strong wall and floor and also stairs. In concrete work, beams and slab casting process have to be done simultaneously and divided into 4 (four) zones on each floor of the building. Casting process of the works have to be done using concrete pump. Meanwhile, for the other structural works can be assisted with concrete bucket tool. Prestressed concrete work on the structure of the strong wall and floor, done with post-tension prestressing method, in which the structure will be given reinforcement on structural elements after the casting process had done. Steel work consists of laboratory steel roof and canopy. The steel Works begin on the steel fabrication of steel structural elements in the workshop, transport processes, as well as the erection and installation at the project site. <br /> <br /> <br /> In this construction method planning of structural Works in CIBE ITB building, in this paper determined the sequence of work, measures and provisions/regulations in carrying out the work coupled with consideration of K3. In addition, this paper also analyzed the material requirements, labor and tools based on Standar Nasional Indonesia Pekerjaan Beton dan Pekerjaan Baja year 2008.
