A study conducted to model the A Sandstone reservoir of lower Keras Formation to upper Lower Gabus Formation interval at KF Field. Several steps such as, well log analysis, reservoir geometry mapping, and facies modeling was carried in order to achieve the intended result. Well log data, 3D seismic data, checkshot data, well top and well bottom data, lithostratigraphy report and core study report at KF Field have been used in this study. There are nineteen sandstone intervals that comprise A Sandstone reservoir but in this study only
used sixteen sandstone intervals as studied interval. There are sandstone intervals Keras-2, LG- 1A, LG-1B, LG-2A, LG-2B, LG-3A, LG-3B, LG-4, LG-5AB, LG-5C, LG-6A, LG-6B, LG-6C, LG-7A, LG-7B, and LG-8. These intervals deposited in fluvial and fluvial-deltaic environment.
Sandstone intervals Keras-2, LG-4, LG-5AB, LG-5C, LG-6A, LG-6B, LG-6C, LG-7A, and LG-7B are bar sand facies and sandstone intervals LG-1A, LG-1B, LG-2A, LG-2B, LG-3A, LG-3B, and LG-8 are fluvial channel sand facies. All of the facies are sedimentary oriented in Southeast- Northwest. The modeling of reservoir facies shows a similar result with reservoir geometry mapping (isochore reservoir map), showing Southeast-Northwest sedimentary orientation. This modeling is aimed to define lateral distribution each facies of A Sandstone reservoir. text
