To achieve a better city, there are several aspects to consider as in hardware (form, system, and city product), software (systems, programs, and urban processes, and actors (community existence and activities). All of these aspects should be considered when we will develop a city for the better. Therefore a structured framework is needed for mapping and to give overall description of the initiatives that can be implemented to a better city. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Metrics are required to be used as a parameter that must be achieved or try to be achieved so that a city can go to a better city. These parameters are called city indicators and are obtained through city reference documents such as Garuda Smart City Model, ISO 37120, European Union Smart City, dan India Smart City. To achieve an indicator, a goodwill or concrete actions are required, which are called initiatives. The city initiatives is derived through a design thinking process that begins with understanding the indicators and then explores and seeks ideas for initiatives that match those indicators. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Analysis of framework component requirements is then undertaken so that the mapping and translation of the initiatives to the indicators can be done in a structured and comprehensive manner by considering hardware, software, and city actors. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> After analyzing the indicators and the needs of the framework, fourteen (14) component, as well as fourteen (14) indicators and initiatives are found and scattered across the economy, financial, industry and governance domains. text
