Description
Summary:Geomorphology research area is divided into three units geomorphic, which includes Volcanic Hills Unit, Intrusion Hills Unit and Alluvial Plains Unit. Stratigraphy of the research area sequence from the oldest to youngest units are Tuff Unit, Intrusion Andesite Unit, Pyroclastic Breccia Unit, unconformity deposited Collovium Unit and Alluvial Unit the Holocene Epoch to the present. Structures developed in the research area are joint structure and fault structures that are the result of topography and lineament interpretation of satellite images. This fault is a Sinistral Strike-slip Seruyung Fault. Based on an assembly of altered minerals through direct observation, petrographic observation analysis, the research area is divided into three zones hydrothermal alteration, namely quartz zone, alunite-quartz-haloysite zone and pyrophyllite-quartz-alunite zone. Mineralization in the research area, including the type of high-sulphidation epithermal deposits, this is evidenced by the existence of vuggy textures from field observations and appearance alunite mineral in petrographic observations. Research area classified as potential for the presence of gold.
