Ordinarily, the waste is stacked in an open land covered with geotextile while waiting for shipment for treatment by third party. With the leaking condition of oil sludge, contaminating the surrounding soil, it is necessary to design certain oil waste treatment alternatives that is more efficient and environmental friendly. After going through assessment, landfarming chosen as the most appropriate technology for PT X condition based on financial aspect, ease of operation and maintenance, reliability, and availability. To complete the data planning, the degradation test conducted in laboratory for oil sludge sample from PT X with 12% Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH) content. Based on laboratory result analysis, the NPK fertilizer will be added based on consideration of high TPH degradation efficiency, economical expense, and not increasing the treatment volume excessively. The process of design including calculation of dimension and equipment for Treatment cell, Pre-treatment, equipment decontamination, leachate management system, monitoring system, SOP, and cost analysis with the consideration of design criteria and valid regulation. Treatment with landfarming unit are expected to reach TPH concentration < 1% in 3 months with 3 times batch system to process the whole petroleum waste from PT X text |
