Summary:Transportation activity and its influence factor is the basic foundation of the development of the transport system. By knowing the activity of transport, land use and transport systems in the region, it can be clearly identified with the movement problem in a region. The city center is one of the regions with a high demand for the movement. The movement of high and rapid rise to various problems, such as congestion and environmental impact on the social, economic and environmental. Sustainable transport into the solution of this problem, there are several types of sustainable transport including non-motorized transport and mass public transportation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Non-motorized transport as a form of sustainable transportation is considered suitable for the city center with an area of relatively small area and the facilities are numerous and dense. By knowing the transportation activities and factors influence it can be seen the basic problems of transport in the city center. Identification of transport activities can be seen from the characteristics of the social, economic, land use and travel patterns. By knowing the transportation activities is expected to solve the problems of transport in the city center. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The results show the potential for non-motorized use of transportation in Yogyakarta City Centre is quite good, but its use tends to be low, many factors affecting the use and selection of non-motorized transport such as daily transportation vehicle ownership, gender, and other SIM ownership. Perception of the use of non-motorized transport also tends to be low, this study will show the analysis of daily trips, factors influence the use and perceptions downtown towards the use of non-motorized transport.
