The research entitled Material of Physics Learning in Coal Mining at Tanjung’s Formation, Barito Basin, South Kalimantan has been accomplished in July 2015-January 2106. This material of physics learning is one of science subjects which is able to explain the process, mining, and the use of Natural Resources-Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), namely coal. The comprehension of Physics itself seems very complicated to comprehend today. Therefore, studying of contextual Physics of Natural Resources-Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) is one of good methods of Studying Physics. Besides comprehending the Physics itself, we can also comprehend the Natural Resources- Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) in the region, and the mining process to be used, by using this method. The purposes of this research are: 1) to comprehend the principal and the physical process of creating the coal in Kalimantan, and in the coal mining of Tanjung Formation, Tabalong, 2) to compile the teaching material of contextual physics in the process of coal mining. This research uses visual data method, interviewing, and literature study. The result of this research is teaching material of contextual physics of Natural Resources-Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) which is adapted to the Curriculum of State Polytechnic of Tanah Laut, Pelihari, South Kalimantan.
