This encourages volume of heavy vehicles which enter and exit the container terminal of Tanjung Priok to increase. Container depot, base of heavy vehicles, and industrial area are located around Tanjung Priok with proximity reasons. These circumstances made consequences on vehicle traffic around the port of Tanjung Priok so that the performance of the road network in the region indicated bad. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This study aims to analyze the performance of the road network in the study area as a result of the traffic volume around the port of Tanjung Priok, and analyze the possibility of improvement through the settings on the demand aspect. The data in this study is collected by observation and secondary data survey. The scope of the study is limited to the streets in North Jakarta which are often passed by heavy vehicles. Data analysis was using Four Step Models, i.e. trip generation model, trip distribution model, and trip assignment model. For trip assignment model, SATURN software is used as a research tool. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on the road network performances analysis in study area by using SATURN, 16 roads are classified to have poor level of service. Therefore, it is necessary to improve roads’ service level around the port of Tanjung Priok. The scenario which are used to improve performance of road network is to transfer the load of container volumes by building Cilamaya container terminal. Construction of Cilamaya container terminal is increasing the number of roads which have good level of service and decrease travel time on some streets text
