Summary: |
The increasing incidence of landslides triggered landslides related research developments in an effort to reduce the consequences. In developing landslide mitigation system, can be done by taking into account the ground motion (mechanics) including the slope, rainfall, the frictional force, and the force of gravity on the slopes. These factors designed system consisting of a sensor detecting the slope and soil moisture were tested on a model of landslides that have been designed. Tilt detection sensor used is the type MMA8451Q accelerometer sensor. MMA8451Q sensor is a sensor that detects acceleration with MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) which is easily available, mass-produced, inexpensive, and high-precision output data (14 bits). To calibrate MMA8451Q, created tilt-calibrator based stepper motor. This calibrator has a resolution of 0.018/step and outputs in the form of degrees. Besides calibrator slope, also made a model of landslide so it can be analyzed directly without the occurrence of landslides to the scene. Model landslides made of acrylic glass and the frame measures 250 x 45 x 30 cm (length x width x height) that can be set slope. Experiments conducted with two types of experiments: experiments by using rain water (experiment 1) and experiments without using rainwater (experiment 2). Results obtained in the form of changes in the slope of the MMA8451Q accelerometers and pore pressure changes in soil moisture sensor on the model of the landslide in real time. Tilt changes occurred significantly after the sensor detects the moisture in the ground state of saturation state (damp or wet). This means that landslides will occur during or after the state of the soils are saturated (wet). In addition, there is a difference in incidence was quite interesting from this experiment. In experiment 1 the movement of soil in the form of drops on one end initially and then rise at the other end so as to resemble the type of landslide rotation while in second experiment of ground movement only in the form of cracks soil due to water flow which is then accumulated into cracks or large room that resembles the type of landslide flow.
|
