Exploration and delineation drilling in 1998 and 1999 has resulted in the discovery of a substantial gas accumulation in the Baturaja Formation (BRF) carbonates, Talang Akar Formation (TAF) sandstones and Pre-Tertiary (PTE) basement formations. SX gas plant is capable to produce gas up to 800 MMSCFD and condensate production about 12,000 BPD. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Issue of declining condensate production observed from production history data later, SX field Condensate to Gas production Ratio (CGR) started declining in early 2009. Initially, SX field was expected to behave as a wet gas reservoir only so it should have no problem issue with production performance. Full PVT analysis was not conducted at the beginning of field life. Recently, declining of CGR became major reason of SX condensate production target could not be achieved and further reduced field revenue. <br /> <br /> <br /> A comprehensive study should be undertaken to improve understanding of SX gas condensate reservoir characterization (phase and fluid flow-behavior relationships), observe the possibility of condensate productivity loss due to near well bore condensate accumulation and further impact to gas production in overall. Important to evaluate SX gas facility plant due to there is a possibility of gas condensation system impairment, anticipate the potential loss of condensate formed throughout the reservoir at the end of exploitation and generate optimization strategy to maintain or increase SX production performance. <br /> <br /> <br /> PVT analysis for generate robust Equation of State (EOS) model becomes important to field development and optimization, because it will deliver data of the overall behavior of the fluid from reservoir through production and process facilities. PVT simulation will determine the operating condition that can maximize the recovery of surface liquid content and extend the production plateau duration at the lowest possible cost. PVTsim software is used to build update EOS model. <br /> <br /> <br /> Approach of Nodal Analysis technique will be implemented to find out evidence of condensate dropping and accumulate to near well bore at SX wells that have high permeability since it is a fracture reservoir by conducting CGR reservoir sensitivity at any declining reservoir pressure. Full field reservoir simulation model using Petrel (Eclipse 300) with new robust EOS model will be run next to see condensate accumulation behavior at near well bore. Local grid refinement of 50 m x 50 m will be used to give more accurate image effect of condensate dropping at reservoir. <br /> <br /> <br /> HYSYS will be run to evaluate performance of SX gas condensate system facility. Since gas condensate system facility has a major contributor to knocking condensate from the production fluid. Finally, after observed all possibility factor that caused total CGR declining then performs the realistic CGR forecasting so condensate production target can be achieved and increase the revenue. text
