Description
Summary:In 2010, Indonesia released national earthquake hazards maps using probabilistic analysis method. The released give an opportunity to use the earthquake parameters model to create Indonesia tsunami hazards maps. The main objectivity this research is to create Indonesia tsunami hazards maps, especially Banda Sea region, using analysis probabilistic method (Probabilistic Tsunami Hazard Analysis, PTHA). The tsunami sources are

earthquakes from Banda-arcs, subduction earthquake (Timor, Banda and Sumba) and crustal fault (Flores, Timor, Wetar and south Seram). Earthquake sources

parameters are based on national earthquake hazards maps and some modifications. Results are presented in the form of tsunami hazards curves and maps at 1m depth for 100 and 500 years return period and also maps of probabilistic tsunami hazards. South of Maluku Islands has the highest probability evidence to get tsunami amplitude more than 3m with the rate is 0,02 - 0,07 each year. Comparison between distribution of tsunami height from 225 return period is similar with distribution of tsunami height caused by earthquake and tsunami Flores 1992.
