Pediatric pasient’s selected as object of study because children are not able to control the incoming information, in this case is a sound or noise. <br /> <br /> <br /> Acoustic parameters analyzed in this final project are the sound pressure level (SPL), reverberation time, definition (D50) and the noise criteria (NC). The parameters are obtained through initial state simulation, actual measurement, subjective observation then performed acoustic control recommendations. <br /> <br /> <br /> The actual measurement and simulation result obtained from patient room in hospital A and B are having a good value of reverberation time and D50 parameter. Reverberation time value is 0.6 second and D50 value were above 50%. Based on the simulation, sound pressure level parameter amplification occur in both of the patient room and on the actual measurements the value is still above the maximum standard of 35 dBA, which is also indicated by the NC-40. Sound sources are dominated by conversation outside the room and the activities on the road. <br /> <br /> <br /> Passive acoustic control is done by lining the wall by 1 meter high from the floor with Dupont AudioComfort and gives the following results: D50 value increases by 15.4%, reverberation time decreased by 28.6%, and SPL value decreases by 0.7-2.7 dB. Broader lining in larger area could provide a better effect but become less applicable. text
