World Class Research University. This building would provide advanced science laboratory facilities (consisting of Acoustics Laboratory and Nanotechnology Laboratory) for Mathematics Program and Astronomy Program. In excecuting this project, a good preparation of project’s construction was really needed, so that the construction can be carried out effectively, efficiently, safely, and succesfully. The work design of this project consisted of site management plan and site preparation. Site management plan was divided into two sectors, namely first sector which includes the construction of office facilities and second sector which includes the location of building and all the supporting facilities. Meanwhile, the site preparation includes work mobilization and demobilization, site clearing (cleaning process arround the project site), and also the construction of all supporting facilities. In conducting this project, earthwork will be begun with site measurement to determine the method of cutting and filling that will be done. In this case, the cutting and filling is divided into two zones, namely A zone and B zone (basement). The excavation is carried out through two stages, namely 1st stage aimed to prepare the bore pile and slab work, and the 2nd stage aimed to prepare
the pile cap and tie beam. Afterwards, the unused soil material that is gotten form excavation process is dumped into spoil bank, and the stockpile material is
drained into stock piles. Furthermore, back filling with compaction will be designed into 4 sectors. Compaction is done perlayer with a maximum thickness of 30 cms by roller (stamper). The foundation of CAS building will be designed by using bore pile as foundation, where the pile cap is functioned to connect the columns and the bore pile pillars. This work is divided into 4 sectors. The work of bore pile is conducted by using dry boring system method with an installation of casing. In this case, the measurement become a very important part in the work of pile cap, to prevent the eccentricity when distributing the load to bore pile. These all will be done after the bore pile reaching 7 days. |
