Summary: | PT. Angkasa Pura I International Branch I Gusti Ngurah Rai (which located in Kuta, Badung District, Bali) is one of the country owned Airport Company. Ngurah Rai Airport Ngurah Rai Airport is also one of the busiest airports in Indonesia. It shows that the amount of domestik waste water is directly proportional to the existing activity. The domestik wastewater of Ngurah Rai Airport comes from the toilets sector, airplane lavatories and restorans in the airport area. To solve this, all of the domestik wastewater is served by the existing WWTP. Existing WWTP has been in existence since the first time the airport was built estimated in the 1970s and has undergone several modifications until now. In addition, the existing processing capacity of existing WWTP has exceeded the initial design capacity. So it is necessary to redesign the installation with capacity at the first phase (Year 2017) 7.09 L/sec and the capacity at the fourth phase (Year 2037) 13.88 L/sec. This is done so that the processing goes well and the effluent quality of wastewater does not damage the environment. In this planning, biological treatment technology that is used is completely mixed activated sludge, which is considered the most suitable after the assessment of some required aspects such as environmental conditions, processing efficiency, economic needs, and some other aspects. At the future activities in the airport area will continue to increase technology required with capacity capable of processing existing domestik wastewater. The wastewater treatment system there are processing units such as bar screen, equalization tank, sedimentation basin , aeration tank, clarifier, as well as gravity thickener processing unit, and sludge drying bed. The effluent is targeted to achieve the prevailing quality standard is PerMen LHK 68 Year 2016 about Quality Standard of Domestik Wastewater. This planning is made to protect the environment quality and public health. <br />
