總結:In Y field, which is reservoir with layers, the present widely used method of waterflooding is commingle water injection. This method is considered to have a low efficiency if any breakthrough had occurred in one of the layers, so that most of the injected water would be lost into that layer.

For X area served as an object of our study, most of the water that are being injected to the reservoir had gone into A1 layer that will make the injected water to other layers will not give an optimum result. This is the background of the importance of per-layer waterflooding application.

In this final project, we will give a prediction of per-layer waterflooding performance on A1 layer, X area, using reservoir simulation. In this area, The A1 layer restricted by faults in the west and the east, and injection are made in the north and the south, so waterflooding pattern used in this case is similar to peripheral pattern because the production wells are located between the injection wells. A prediction is made to a variety of production well scenarios. Consequently, it is a chance of this final project to observe potential production wells to open and to evaluate the performance of per-layer waterflooding by comparing it to the existing waterflooding method.
