Summary: | Okra is one of the potential commodities to improve farmer's revenue because its potential to be used as herbal medicine. The aim of this research is to determine the optimum treatment of fertilizer, combination of chicken manure (casting) by black soldier fly larvae (C) and guano (G), which has the highest contents of Total-Nitrogen; available phosphor; and available potassium, to produce biomass of Okra. This research began with the bioconversion process and ended with the cultivation of Okra, from November 2016 to May 2017. This research was designed in a randomized factorial block design with 16 treatments and 2 repetitions, which is A1B1 (C 0g; G 0,5g), A1B2 (C 0g; G 1g), A1B3 (C 0g; G 1,5g), A1B4 (C 0g; G 2g), A2B1 (C 100g; G 0,5g), A2B2 (C 100g; G 1g), A2B3 (C 100g; G 1,5g), A2B4 (C 100g; G 2g), A3B1 (C 200g; G 0,5g), A3B2 (C 200g; G 1g), A3B3 (C 200g; G 1,5g), A3B4 (C 200g; G 2g), A4B1 (C 300g; G 0,5g), A4B2 (C 300g; G 1g), A4B3 (C 300g; G 1,5g), dan A4B4 (C 300g; G 2g). Observed variables are temperature; humidity; pH; nitrogen, phosphor, and potassium content of the growing media; plant's height; total number of leaves and fruits; fruit's weight; diameter of fruits; total soluble solids; and fruit hardness. The interactions between casting and guano resulted insignificantly on plant's height, the total number of leaves, fruit's weight, and fruit hardness; and significantly on fruit's diameter and total soluble solids. Statistical data processing has undergone two ways analysis of variance (ANOVA) with 95% of confidence level. The result showed that the A3 (C 200g dan G 0,5g; 1,0g; 1,5g; 2,0g)and A4 (C 300g dan G 0,5g; 1,0g; 1,5g; 2,0g) treatments have the highest biomass production of okra. The A4B1 (C 300g; G 0,5g) treatment resulted in highest contents of nitrogen (0,39%), and phosphor (659,2 ppm) while the A4B4 (C 300g; G 1,0g) treatment in highest potassium contents (4036,8 ppm). |
