Description
Summary:Peat land in Balanti Village, Kalumpang District, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency, South Kalimantan Province with area reaches 842 hectares has potency for oil palm plantation. For developing the potency, there are 3 main problems: a) the need of water supply system for plantation, b) the requirement of drainage system for releasing of excessive water in land, and c) flood threat from Amandit River. Besides that, the water height must be keep at 70 cm deep from land surface for keeping groundwater content. Based on that, this paper has objective to get drainage system design that can solve those problems. In the process of design, the design phases are hydrology analysis, water supply system design, drainage system design, flood modelling with HEC-RAS, construction design, and feasibility study. The result of design analysis is to get a drainage system that is built from canal system, weirs, water pumps, water gates, and flood dike.
