Leachate was formed because of external water drained into waste generation, dissolving, and flush dissolved materials, include organic compound as the result of biological decomposition. Leachate that has been taken as a sample in this research is leachate was formed at compaction transfer station located in Tegalega, Ciateul Region, Regol sub-district, Bandung, West Java. This study aims to examine and research treatment process by using upflow biofilter anaerob toward SPA Tegalega leachate in order to reduce C, N and P consentration. Anaerobic Biofilter is anaerobic treatment which combine between suspended growth with attached growth system by using plastic media. Volume of biofilter which has been used in this research is 17.08 L with several variaty of organic loading rate that are 4.26 kg/m3.day, 8.49 kg/m3.day and 12.74 kg/m3.day. In addtion to, the parameters which considered on this study consist of organic loading rate, retention time, COD, pH, indicator of biogas, TAV, alcalinity, nitrite, nitrate, phospate, TSS, and VSS. on organik loading rate 4.26 kg/m3.day, the efficiency of COD at steady state was 73.54 % , on 8.49 kg/m3.day was 66.88 %, and 12.74 kg/m3.day was 65.64 %. the highest of organic loading rate was 12.74 kg/m3.day. Thefore, efeciency of degradation of organic compound was very influanced by organic loading rate pumped into anaerobic biofilter. text
