Summary: | Jababeka Film Institute has three main buildings, male dormitory, female dormitory and school building. Pile foundation is used to bear the load of upper structure with bored type. Retaining wall is applied to protect basement excavation. This final project has purpose to design and analyze system of pile foundation and protection of basement excavation with retaining wall. <br />

In this final project, the foundation configuration use 128 bored piles with 800 mm diameter, applied at 19 meters depth for male dormitory, 144 bored piles with 700 mm diameter, applied at 20 meters depth for female dormitory, and 550 bored piles with 900 mm diameter, applied at 11,5 meters depth for school building. Group piles are designed with pile cap. There are 9 types of groups with 3 diameter distances between piles. The range of group settlement is between 0,3 cm with qualified differential settlement (< 1/300). The largest deformation that occurred in the pile group is 24,2 mm (<25mm). Checking deformation using Ensoft LPILE and GROUP. Longitudinal reinforcements calculated using PCAcol used reinforcements 12D29, 16D29, 8D25, dan 20D32, for transversal used spiral reinforcement D13-40. <br />

For 7,5 meters depth (2 basement), basement protection is used diaphragm wall system and ground anchor. The analysis calculated using PLAXIS 2D with stage construction. There are 1 stage of diaphragm wall installation, 4 stages excavation, and 1 stages of ground anchors installation. The required thickness of diaphragm wall is 0,8 m with 12 m depth. One ground anchor are used to strengthen diaphragm wall at the elevation -3 m, each has 1185 kN with 194 kN prestressed force. The basement excavation occupy all the safety factor of failure analysis. The design of diaphragm wall reinforcement is requires D25-140 for positive and negative moment, and also D13-150 for transversal reinforcement. |
