Description
Summary:This final project explores about the design of apartment using Special Concentric Bracing Frames (SCBF) structural steel with Inverted-V bracing configurations. The design use provisions that would be the specifications for structural steel buildings, including Specification for Structural Steel Buildings ANSI/AISC 360-10, Seismic Provisions for Structural Steel Buildings ANSI/AISC 341-10, dan Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures ASCE/SEI 7-10.

The design of apartment located on Serpong with land site classes SE. Structural analysis is done with the help of ETABS 2013, in which the structural design of apartment building use the provisions of earthquake resistant from AISC 360-10, AISC 341-10, SNI 1726-2012, dan SNI 1729-2015. The structure also analyzed with pushover analysis. Pushover analysis is used to let us know the performance mechanism of building, optimum design, and also stiffness, strength, and actual structural ductility.

From the result of analysis, the chosen SCBF steel profile meet the requirement of strength and allowed deviation. The yielding mechanism of structure obtained from the result of pushover analysis shows that the structure already meet the requirement, with the bracing are the first elements to yield. The structures performance level obtained from analysis is Immediate Occupancy (IO).
