Description
Summary:Since the National Health Care Program was started in 2014, public hospitals all

over Indonesia has been receiving a huge influx of patients. This caused many

new problems which one of those is the increase of waiting time a patient must

endure when queuing. Upon closer inspection, current public hospital system

especially its queuing and health records system may need to be improved to help

reduce waiting time. That’s why, this paper will focus in solving those problems.

To resolve these problems, a web based queuing and health records subsystem has

to be made. The subsystem will be designed specifically for controlling queues

and registrations, controlling health records accesses, and accommodating health

records sharing. A registration process is divided between general patients and

healthcare patients. While, queues divided into two types, front office queues and

individual services queues. There will also be two ways to register to front office

queues, by physically registering and through the use of SMS services to register

virtually. Current health records are still paper-based so in this project, electronicbased

health records will be developed. Meanwhile, health records sharing will be

conducted using Health Level 7 formats.

The system architecture will be split into three tiers which are client-side, serverside,

and database. Client-side will use APIs to communicate with the server-side

which in turn retrieve data from the database. Client-side is implemented using

Angular Typescript, while server-side is built using PHP Laravel. The testing

phase is conducted to test functional requirements of the implemented system and

the results stated that the system is able to fulfill those requirements and will be

carried using several testing scenarios.

Test results indicate that the developed subsystem is ready to operate and will be

able to run in a hospital to carry out the tasks of controlling queue and registration

also controlling the writing and access of health records.
