STUDI KANDUNGAN FOSFOLIPID UDANG WINDU (Penaeus monodon) DARI BERBAGAI UMUR PEMELIHARAAN

Growth and survival rate of shrimp is affected by the various and content of the nutrient in the fed diet. Shrimp larvae with a diet containing a supplement of certain lipid or phospholipid resulted in a very high growth and survival rate. The total lipid content of marine shrimp was found to be lower than that of fresh water prawn, but its total phospholipid content was greater as compared to fresh water prawn. This study concerns about the correlation of the phospholipid content to the age and the mean weight of marine shrimp, P. monodon. It is hoped that the results can be useful in the field of shrimp feed and culture. Sampling was carried out every 2 weeks, starting from the 6th week up to the 16th week, when it is ready for harvest, after rearing. The method of sampling was made at using random approximately 300 gram of shrimp. The increase of the average weight is proportion to the age of the shrimp, measured starting from the post larvae stage up to the adult stage. The highest growth rate took plce on the age of 10 to 14 weeks, which is the transition stage from the young to the adult stage of shrimps. The total lipid content decreased with the increase of the age,for the whole shrimp and dressed shrimp as well. The total phospholipid content of the whole shrimp increase sharply at the age of 10 to 14 vieeks, from 25.31% to 66.69% of the total lipid. Analysis by the spectrophotodensitometer indicates the phospholipidconsist of phosphatidyletanolamine, diphosphatidylglyceride, phosphatidyl-choline and sphingomyelin, respectively, on an irregular manner. The total phospholipid content of the dressed shrimp was altered between 48.1% to 60.4% of the total lipid, with a high degree of variation. text
