Summary:The condition of public markets, which in historical records in a number of areas lie in strategic position as a center of activity, have decreased. It impacts <br /> <br /> <br /> the amount of decrease in its development quantity. As a center of social economic activities, public markets have a number of potential advantages to be developed. Along with the times, it is important to revive the idea of public market with maintaining its values in accordance with the present and find new values that can be synergized with the existing one. So that the market can develop the vitality and competitiveness. Palasari Market, which is used as a case study, is a market which commodity are books, groceries, and flowers in <br /> <br /> <br /> Bandung. To analyze the diversity of the area around the site, the locationallocation principle and vitality attribute of urban design principle are used. Moreover, also used the activity synergy analysis to predict the activity potency in the location. The results of this analysis are used to define the activities that will <br /> <br /> <br /> be injected and synergy of activities that will be created at the location. The idea is making public market as a focal point. The market should be in line with current market dynamics and provide benefits and advantages. It needs to be allocated for potential activities that can synergize with market activity. Based on these ideas, it can be concluded that the synergy of activities have a role in reviving the idea of a traditional market .
