Summary: | Database has fact which used to save data from transaction processing system or

other type of information system. It’s not enough to only have data as basis to

support decision making or to answer concept related questions. Meanwhile

knowledge also needs data. Application consists of data and some functions to

process the data. Data processing includes CRUD component and transforming it

to information and knowledge. Ontology as knowledge representation and

database as fact recorder still play important role in application development, this

calls for the needs to transform the content from each representation. But methods

and tools to do it and detect the change after transformation are still short and

used individually. This thesis proposed a tool for two-way ontology-relational

database transformation. When changes occur in one representation after

transformation, framework can detect it and add it to other representation. After

that, application will be regenerated again from the start. All the processes are

being done automatically within our framework, at the push of a button.

This thesis was able to gather and use the tools and combined it within a

framework, to generate web application which is adaptive to change whether the

change is on database or on ontology. |
