Smart card is a system on chip that is composed by microprocessor, memory, and so on. A smart card is able to execute commands given by the user as well as store data. Currently, in the digital era, smart card technology has been used in many aspects of life, e.g. citizenship administration system. A multi-application smart card can be used to store citizenship documents and personal data, e.g. individual medical record. Multi-application personal identification smart card needs multi-application operating system and high security level, using Security Access Module (SAM), as well as compatible hardware architecture. The multi-application operating system is used to store many applications in a single smart card, <br /> <br /> <br /> while the security feature using SAM keeps the stored individual-data safe, ensuring it will not be leaked to public.
