Description
Summary:Water scarcity is an important issue that occurs in the world today. For the sake of answering

the existing problems in the world, a new water source is needed to reduce dependence on

surface water and ground water use. Rainwater harvesting systems can be a solution to this

problem, because rainwater has a quality that almost resembles condensate water. The

planning area at Pertamina University, South Jakarta has rainfall of more than 50 mm / month

for at least 6 months of the year, thus meeting the criteria required to use a rainwater

harvesting system. The results of rainwater harvested at Pertamina University can meet 100%

of the flushing water requirement in Academic Buildings 1 each month. To determine the

feasibility of local rainwater in its utilization as water flushing, water quality testing is required

in the laboratory with parameters referring to Permenkes no.416 in 1990 about the

Requirements and Clean Water Quality Monitoring.
