Previous researchs suggest that lightning data can be used to predict the location and intensity of convective precipitation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The availability of lightning data has motivated authors to study CG lightning and its relationship with precipitation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> MDF method used to determine the location of a lightning strike on a multistation which is considered more accurate than single station. The results showed CG lightning can be used as an indicator (monitoring and <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> detecting) of extreme rainfall, extreme rainfall threshold occurred when lightning strikes 11 times with a radius around 10 km. In general, the distribution of CG lightning centered on the core of convective clouds. The relation between CG lightning and precipitation is generally strong and CG lightning increased as rainfall. text
