Description
Summary:The seismic data from acquisition field potentialy contaminated by noise. Noise is a wave which disturbing the original wave from the seismic wave source. Rayleigh wave, Air blast, direct wave, diffraction, and multiple are common noise in seismic data. The sub-surface imaging process will produce worst result if the noise is not attenuated completely. There are several seismic method to attenuate seismic data noise, one of them is velocity filter. The Velocity Transform is an attractive method for wave-field separation because it lower temporal frequency and apparent velocity, making it possible to remove Rayleigh wave which it have low frequency and low velocity of motion. The velocity transform is a simple mapping (x,t) gathered data into apparent velocity and travel time domain (v,t). The velocity of the seismic data will be analyze completely. Based on it result, the noise can be attenuated accurately. In this paper the result obtained from filtered gathered data in velocity transform domain will be compared with the result of radon 𝜏 − 𝑝 transform, and analyze it thoroughly to conclude the method with the best result.
