Bandung has been recognized by UNESCO as a creative city of design since 2015. The existence of thousands of creative communities in Bandung shows the high interest of the communities towards art. Bandung Arts Center is a community-based and non-profit public facility that accommodates not only artists but also all people who have interest in art. All people will be able to develop their art skills, produce artworks, and enjoy art. Bandung Arts Center is expected to make art as a part of lifestyle and to be the icon of creativity in the city of Bandung. <br /> <br /> <br /> Setrasari area is a secondary center of Bandung, so this area has a big potential to develop optimally. Setrasari is also a strategic location that is surrounded by art museums, formal and non-formal schools, and commercial buildings as well. Therefore, Bandung Arts Center is expected to be able to attract various groups of people. <br /> <br /> <br /> The main concept design of Bandung Arts Center is Arts for All Senses. That concept consists of three sub-concepts: human senses, sense of creativity, and sense of place. Bandung Arts Center will be able to provide a place where all people can experience art, create some artworks, and have the sense of belonging towards this project. Bandung Arts Center consists of several building masses which create unique space between the buildings.
