THE EFFECT BETWEEN ETHICAL COMMITMENT INDEX, DIVIDEND POLICY, AND STOCK RETURN OF INDONESIA LISTED FIRMS

This study basically investigates the effect of Ethical Commitment Index to Company <br /> <br /> Dividend Policy and Stock Return among listed firms in Indonesia. This study used 7 sectors <br /> <br /> of industries, which are Consumer Goods Industry, Basic Industry and Chemicals, Trade <br /> <br /> Service and Investment, Property, Real Estate, and Building Construction, Infrastructure, <br /> <br /> Utilities, and Transportation, Mining, and Various Industries. As the final sample, this study <br /> <br /> used 30 companies of Indonesia listed firms. The primary data, questionnaire in 2017, were <br /> <br /> utilized as the main source of data collection and researcher also use annual report year 2015 <br /> <br /> and 2016 for secondary data since the annual report of 2017 have not been published yet. The <br /> <br /> multiple linear regression method was employed as a statistical technique for analyzing the <br /> <br /> data collected. In this study, researcher finds there is a significant positive association <br /> <br /> between Ethical Commitment Index to Cash Dividend, Dividend growth, and Dividend <br /> <br /> Earning. While there is no significant effect between Ethical Commitments index and Stock <br /> <br /> return. Researcher hopes this study can help and useful for the company and shareholders. <br /> <br /> Company can consider ethic on their company if they want to make financial performance <br /> <br /> improvement and for shareholder this study can help shareholder in determining which <br /> <br /> company should be chosen.
