CONTEXTUALIZING MUSIC ACTIVITY CONCERT HALL AT KINA HERITAGE COMPLEX, BANDUNG

Concert hall initiated by PT. Kimia Farma, located at Jalan Pajajaran No. 29-30 Bandung. This project has a purpose as a representative building and a center of musical activities in the city of Bandung that can be enjoyed by musicians and music lovers. With a land area of 2.6 ha, this project is designed to facilitate various types of musical performances, such as classical and modern (pop / rock) music. The main function facilitated by this concert hall is a performance function consisting of a main auditorium with a capacity of 500 seats and can accommodate classical and pop / rock music; an open amphitheater with a capacity of 500 people, and two recital hall with a capacity of 250 people. There is also an rehearsal studio and workshop room (community music room) that can be rented to facilitate other musical activities. The building is also equipped with supporting facilities such as cafeteria, retail, office manager, toilet, mosque, and parking. <br /> <br /> This project is located in the Heritage Complex of Kina which is a cultural heritage area and has a strong historical value. The new building is built inside the old building's envelope with a separate structure and uses a contextual juxtaposition approach. With all the uniqueness of this concert hall, it is expected that the Concert Hall at Kina Heritage Complex can bring different views and atmosphere to other performance buildings in Bandung and become the center of musical activities that accommodate Bandung music community. <br />
