Driven by good economic circumstances, the need for a convenient and exclusive self-recovery facility is starting to increase. This opens up a huge market in tourism, particularly in wellness tourism. Wellness retreat is a form of wellness tourism that provides space and time for visitors to improve their physical, emotional, and spiritual qualities through a series of activity programs. This facility is usually established on the place that is located away from the urban area and has a certain quality of nature potential to support the programs. Angseri village in Tabanan is located in the highlands of Bali which is filled with beautiful plantations and rice fields. This area is located far away from the center of the city and has a nice mild cool atmosphere and great natural potential that can support the activities of a wellness retreat. In addition, Balinese cultural character that is strongly attached to this land also provides more value for this facility when compared with its competitors in the area outside Bali. Therefore, Wellness Retreat in Angseri Village is designed using land approach, where the natural potency and character of Balinese culture become the strength and foundation of the architectural design development. text |
