The distribution of dose is became important role. The purpose of this thesis is to invetigate the influence of the size of the target on the dose distribution changes that occur both in healthy tissue and the target. To analysis the distributuin of dose distribution, the dose volume histogram (DVH) for both regions are used. In this study, the Monte Carlo simulation based on EGSnrc is implemented. Source of radiation has a field size of 10 cm × 10 cm and its energy is polyenergtic. The object comsists of two different materials, namely water as health tissue and lung as target. The health tissue has size of 40 cm × 40 cm × 40 cm. But the size of target is varied from 5 cm × 5 cm × 5 cm to 7 cm × 7 cm × 7 cm. The results show that the DVH curve for health tissue shows no significant change compared with the change in the size of the target. While the DVH curve of target depends on the size of target. The 100% of volume target receives lower doses, when the size of target increases. text
