Traditional market growth will followed by solid waste generated increased. According to Ministry of Environment and Forestry, in 2014 Indonesia generated 63,8 million ton per year and predicted waste generated in 2019 are 67,1 million ton per year. Whereas the existing solid waste management in Indonesia has not being done optimally. Therefor, in this study will identified factors are being obstacle in solid waste management in traditional market according to 6 aspect, policy, institutional, operational, financing,trader participation and public and environmentla health. these factor indentified using descriptive analisys, comparative analysis using benchmarking method. Factors identification are form by descriptive analysis and comparative analisis by using benchmarking method. From waste generation measurement average market waste generated 666,01 kg/daywith influenced by the presence of traders in each market and for the waste composition average are 80,78% organic, 3,61% paper, 11,86 plastic, 0,43 fiber, 0,55% rubber/leather, 0,67 metals and other material composition 1,32%. Waste management from market area have some obstacles such as the transport timing, regulation about fine, education facilities, traders knowledge about waste, complaint system, and safety for the daily labor. text |
