Summary: | The spatial database of potential gold deposite and quarry in relation with the land use and mining concept recommendations in the Banten region is a step to create a preliminary data which hope can be useful in the mining process in Banten region. Making the database is done due to the many potential of excavation material in Banten and has not been optimally utilized. This can be happened because in Banten there are various geological formations, one of which is area of the Bayah Dome and Honje Formation that the area is agreed by the geology as a source of various mineralization, and there are several volcanoes located in Banten. The study focused on making gold , limestone, and andesite databases. Potential maps for limestones are obtained by geological studies, satellite imagery (unique form of karst morfology), and matching areas with already operated limestone quarries. The andesite potential maps are obtained by geological studies and matching of andesite mines already in operation. The gold deposite potential map is obtained by geological studies (formation, Bayah Dome, structure, and anomaly), satellite imagery, and regional matching of the operating gold mine sites. From the analysis, it was found that the area of andesite potential in Serang, Lebak and Pandeglang regencies with 40.291 hectares area with recommendation of open pit mining method, the area of potentially limestone in Lebak and Pandeglang Regency with area of 71.728 Ha and recommended mining is done with open pit mining method, and the area of potentially gold deposit in Lebak and Pandeglang Regency with an area of 91.325 Ha with recommendation of underground mining method for the area which is in protected area and settlement, and open pit for the area not included in protected areas and residential areas. |
