Description
Summary:In transportation system, connectivity plays important role in transportation establishment (especially multi-mode transportation), including tourism area. Connectivity is a unity in a transportation networks. Connectivity refers to the density of connections on the road or the road network and the continuity of the network. If connectivity increasing, the travel distance decrease and route options increase, so the trip becomes easier and can occur faster direct transfer between destination, and create a system that can be accessed and resilient. Connectivity is not only important for the transportation in urban areas, but also in the tourism area. Tourism region has a wide variety of activities that encourage people outside the region to come and do tourism activities in that region, and it can be said that it has a high mobility rate. Ubud village tourism area is one of the best tourism area in Indonesia that can attract domestic and foreign tourists with cultural and tourist activities which they have. Ubud region was originally developed as tourism area that is free of motor vehicles, and at this point they do not yet have an integrated system of transport modes, especially motorized vehicles. Ubud region visitors currently have a difficulty to get a non-motorized transport modes. The problems that exist in the tourism area of Ubud village, became the basis of this study to assess the connectivity of non-motorized modes ini Ubud village. the bicycle as the main mode and feeder mode for integrated transport systems to support tourism activities in Ubud village tourism area. The analytical methods used is a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, the analysis technique using content analysis method and the method of quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. This study was conducted by using normative and empirical studies. Normative study conducted by reviewing relevant literatures regarding connectivity, so as to pull out the criteria and indicators of connectivity system. Empirical studies conducted by observing the field condition and collecting 185 responses (100 locals and 85 tourists). The empirical study was conducted to assess the formulation of criteria and indicators as well as assessment from the respondent's response. The assessment of criteria and indicator of connectivity system for non-motorized vehicles formulation’s and the assessment of local residents community preferences and tourists will be analyzed and the results will produce a design formulation for connectivity sytem of non-motorized vehicles in Ubud Village tourism area,
