Description
Summary:Nanomaterial melting mechanism has become an interest topic to be explored, especially the dependency melting point against particle size. In determining the melting point of a material, Lindemaan criteria are often used. According to Lindemaan, melting occurs when a condition (formula) with 0< (formula) <1 1. The value of (formula) that is not unique, that is between 1 and 0 causes the errorcalculation of 5%. Therefore, a unique criteria of fusion material is needed. The determination of the value of the melting point of a material using the zipper model has been built for nanomaterial with different dimensions. Based on the results of justification, this model is very good in explaining the dependent melting point against the size of nanomaterial, with standard deviation for nanoparticle Au, In, Pb, and Ag on a matrix Ni are 0,0297; 0,0055 ;19,12 ; 7,061, for nano wire In and Pb are 0.0088; 0.0108 and thin film In, Pb, and Sn are 0,0064; 0,016; 0,066 respectively.
