For that reason, a preventive action is needed to anticipate delay in the project. One way to prevent delay is by doin acceleration of the project. The aim of this final project is to analyze different accelerating efforts hat can be done in anticipating project delay and the effect of each accelerating efforts to the project cost in a scheduling of a construction project. This writing will use the Apartemen dan Condotel La Grande Merdeka Tamansari project as a case study. This final project will do a study on Precedence Diagram Method (PDM) and will do a what-if analysis by simulating delay in a critical activity. After that, accelerating efforts will be done in the successors in which the successors that will be accelerated are choosen by doing a crash program. The result of this final project shows that the efforts that can be done to accelerate the project are increasing the number of workers and increasing work hours (overtime) where both efforts has to be integrated with increasing materials stock. The effect of all the mentioned efforts is increased cost. However, after comparing between the costs caused by fine because of delay, the cost to undertake accelerating efforts is lower. Therefore, undertaking accelerating efforts when delay occurs is recommended by increasing the number of workers and increasing materials stock. text |
