Therefore, the Schiff Base Salisildena L-Tyrosine is synthesized through condensation reaction of salisilaldehida and L-Tyrosine on alkaline atmosphere with methods of MAOS (Microwave-Assisted Organic Synthesis) on power 50 W irradiation and temperature is 58 °C for 40 minutes. In this way the Salisilidena L-Tyrosine successfully synthesized by 36.35% yield. Characterization of the compounds synthesis of results is done by the determination of the melting point, infrared spectroscopy and 1H-NMR 43 MHz. Synthesis results have a melting point 318–319 °C. The FTIR spectrum of product showed characteristic peak of C=N stretching vibration at wavenumbers of 1602 cm-1, and the 1H-NMR spectrum of product also showed that salicylidene L-Tyrosine have been successfully synthesized. The measurements of corrosion inhibition activity of salicylidene L-Tyrosine toward carbon steel in 1 M HCl have been performed utilizing EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy) at temperature range 25–45 °C with concentration of 25–250 ppm, extrapolation Tafel and weight loss at a temperature of 35 °C with concentration 150 ppm. The results of the test showed that Salisilidena L-Tyrosine give corrosión inhibition activity by decrease the corrosion rate in both cathoda and anode up to 54%. Adsorption process of Salisilidena L-Tyrosine on carbon steel surface obeys Langmuir adsorption isotherm with Gibbs energy of adsorption, ΔG°ads of -33.86 kJ/mol. text
