Pollution has negative impacts on human health, so we need a preventive system. One technique that can be applied is the air filter. This method can filter harmful particles, for example Particulate Matter with a size of less than 2,5μm (PM 2.5), since the particles can enter the lungs and harm the respiratory system. Filter was developed in the nanometer size with electrospinning technique. In its application, the filter must have good quality standards. Filter that has good quality has high filtration efficiency, low pressure drop, and long lifetime. So, it is required air filter test to determine the quality of the membrane filter. for auxiliary, it is developed a monitoring system using a flow rate sensor, the sensor pressure drops, the air pressure sensor and microcontroller ATMega8. By using membrane filters of different polymers, it gets a linear relationship between the pressure drop at a flow rate. Efficiency values obtained from Nylon-6 is greatest, however it has small quality factor. It shows the value of pressure drop is high. Experiment using substrate which has added a layer of fibrous, it will improve the efficiency and quality factor of filter.<p align="justify"> text |
