Description
Summary:Pekanbaru riverfront center is a shopping center integrated with fery terminal as one of transportation method. Located in central city of Pekanbaru and Siak Riverside. In this final project will be focused in designing pile foundation in main building and fery harbor, also retaining wall in main building.

Pile foundation used in this project is driven pile. Method used in calculating axial capacity of single pile is API 1986 and Naval Engineering Facilities Command with ASD (Allowable Stress Design) loading combination. Lateral capacity of single pile calculated using ENSOFT LPILE software. Bearing capacity of group piles calculated using ENSOFT GROUP software. Settlement is calculated using Vesic and raft equivalent method.

Design of retaining wall with diaphragm wall type started with determining depth of penetration and dimension of wall. Then stages of excavation analyzed using PLAXIS 2D with strut reinforcement. The reaction forces of wall is obtained for calculating reinforcement needed in diaphragm wall. The stability of excavation is also checked against basal heave.

Foundation design of wharf type harbor started with slope stability analysis against ship loading and river current. Then determining bearing capacity of single and group piles.
