Offshore mining holds an important role in the the company's performance, utilizing dredger ship and sip ship production, the prouced concentrates will finally undergo the smelting process after being washed in Tin Ore Washing Centre. After two hundred years of mining, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> the tin resources in Indonesia had been decreasing significantly and is starting to threat the company's production level. Based on the conducted interviews, a big problem is being faced regarding the low recovery level of the -100 mesh tin ore (in size) which contradicts with the fine-tin-ore-dominated reserves. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The research was done through Plant Survey Method and laboratory data analysis. Plant survey is a method to analyze the whole treatment process of a mineral by analyzing taken sampels from several appointed points so that they will represent the treatment of that particular mineral from beginning to the end. Plant survey method includes actual observation of treatment processes, determination of sampling points, sampling, sampel preparation, and last, laboratory dispatch, at which the sampels will be analysed using sieve method analysis and grain counting. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> According to the data obtained from the laboratory analysis, the actual dominating ore produced by the dredger ships and the sip ships production, are actually those in size of +20 mesh and -20+50 mesh and so is the generated tailing. Whereas the recovery level of KIP <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Timah V is approximately between 50% to 89%, relatively lower than the recovery level of KK Singkep 1 which is approximately between 69% to 99% while PPBT Mentok performed such recovery level of 89%-99%. text
