That requires a proper handling of business, including the pigging, which is the process of pipe cleaning, using the PIG. This will be very detrimental because it would raise the cost of pipeline operations, including the cost for pigging. The cost will be more expensive if we do the pigging process more intense, but sometimes the oil and gas companies only performing pigging schedule in a regular time regardless of the flow efficiency value, so the cost will be not efficient and will increase the cost of pipeline operations. This paper study about pigging’s effectivity by determine the efficient flow rate to perform pigging on undulation pipes, and determine the pigging effectivity on several kinds of undulation pipes. In this paper’s study case, will be seen the flow efficiency by determining the efficience flow rate as a parameter to decide the pigging’s time on the several kinds of undulation pipes. By determining the efficient flow rate to perform pigging, it is expected that can be a parameter to decide pigging at the right time so as to reduce the cost of pipeline operations, particularly the costs incurred to perform pigging. PVTsim13 and OLGA 6 are used as the simulator. From this simulation will be seen the study of pigging’s flow efficiency and the effects of pigging for each case on undulation pipes. text
